ZIRO : THE LAND OF SCENIC GRANDEUR
Nestled amongst the formidable mountains of Arunachal Pradesh, Ziro is one of the most picturesque landscapes that one can view with rice fields stretching afar, five diffrent river tributaries ploughing through its lands and the Apatani tribe settled with all its cultural glory and artistic self.
Located at about 1500 metres above mean sea level in the midst of the pine clad mountains, a Hidden land, Ziro is the headquarter of Lower Subansiri District. The quaint district is inhabitted by around 13,000 locals from the Apatani tribe whose tattoos are something to be envious off!!
The artistically blessed Apatani people design handloom and handicrafts made from bamboo.
Culturally rich Ziro also hosts the world famous Ziro festival famous for its Local and indie music and artists coming from all around the world. Music lovers join in this amazing aura during September for a mind blowing and enchanting experience hard to forget!!

HAPOLI – Headquarter of Lower Subansiri District Administration.
KILE PAKHO – A ridge located at 7 km. from old Ziro.
MIDEY – A place famous for gigantic SAT-NII PIISHA and SAMENII, a Blue pine tree being biggest and tallest tree in the Apatani valley measuring about 7 metre at GBH. One can trek to see these gigantic blue pine trees.
DOLO MANDO – A hillock of legendary love affairs between DOLO & MANDO.
TAKEY WILD LIFE SANTUARY – Most beautiful and virgin forests having diverse flora and fauna ranging from sub-tropical to alpine forests. It is covered with impenetrable vegetations marked by giant silver fir trees, a variety of rhodendron, orchids, ferns and varieties of bamboo.
MYOKO FESTIVAL – This festival is celebrated during the month of March every year amongst three villages namely Diibo-Hija, Hari-Bulla and Hong of Apatani plateau on rotational basis with traditional gaiety and festivity
ORCHIDS – For all those flower lovers out there Ziro is famous for rare orchids and other flowers like Rhododendron Arboreum, Hedychium Ellipticum, Hedychium Densiflorum, etc
